Snowy Reminder

Pushing snow along the path.  Invigorating!  So fun to be back in the Laughing Labyrinth – to reflect, enjoy, anticipate.

The wide shovel slid easily under the thin layer of fluffy snow. So, I got to look at the wild flowers in winter garb as I walked past.  Then, in the most improbable places, the shovel would hitch.  Something unseen and unsuspected under the snow would catch an edge.  I quickly learned to just back up a bit, not push through.  Then, I could go ahead easily, again.  Must be some metaphor in all this.

Was just fun to be in the crisp air, amid the grey and white backdrop, in the stillness punctuated by passing snowplows.  Just fun.  Now the Laughing Labyrinth is open to all.  Just wear warm boots and take in the quietude and simplicity of late fall in Iowa.
